About Your New Teacher

Most mainstream yoga offers little more than a fitness class sold as a therapeutic tool for pain and stress.  In reality, it doesn't help at all, but actually creates more pain after the class has ended.

I started down the yoga path when my husband was deployed and I used yoga as a tool to manage my stress.  I wanted to understand why it helped me so much.  Since then I've gone on to train in a variety of therapeutic yoga offerings including chronic back pain, PTSD, and functional breathing.  I understand not only how to apply the tools that yoga and strength training offers in a therapeutic way, but also how to make them individual and personal for you.

In my classes you'll get specific instruction based on our goal for the class.  I'll never teach you something that I have not fully researched myself.  You will always leave with a little more movement knowledge and self-study.
